Darren is an APA titled sports physiotherapist with a Masters in Sports Physiotherapy. Darren has over 15 years’ experience in treating both the elite and amateur sports person, including AFL players, Australian Paralympians at the Australian Institute of Sport (AIS), as well as general patients at Olympic Park Sports Medicine Centre in Melbourne.
From his 14 years working in the AFL, including his role as Head Physiotherapist for the North Melbourne Football Club, his knowledge base and clinical interests include managing both acute and chronic cases of all lower limb injuries. Darren has a real passion for returning his clients back to their chosen sport/activity/vocation as quickly and as safely as possible. To achieve this, he builds on his extensive academic qualifications by keeping up to with the latest research, ensuring his treatments are evidence-based.
aPhysio provides you with the opportunity and convenience of accessing Darren’s physiotherapy services from his home-based clinic in the Canberra suburb of Aranda. Darren exclusively provides after hours private consultations at aPhysio as he works full time as a Senior Physiotherapist at the Australian Institute of Sport (AIS).
